Leaked Unique Fire/Water Pokemon Revealed Two Years Too Late

The developer has yet to announce how it can be obtained. The story about its reveal is hosted on the official site for the most recent entries in the core RPG series titled “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire”. We had to wait until this year for Diancie and Hoopa to finally be released. Its name is Volcanion, and it’s the first combination Water and Fire Type Pokémon. Its power is said to be great enough to destroy entire mountains and change the very shape of the land.

Some of Volcanion’s special moves are steam eruption, scald, and weather ball. For now, check out the trailer below and see Volcanion in action.

Because Volcanion is a hybrid Fire/Water type Pokemon, he will have unique weaknesses and resistances. Until today, that is, with Nintendo “officially” revealing the Pokemon. In 2016, the Mythical Pokemon will make an appearance in the “Pokemon” movie and will be distributed worldwide. This means a Volcanion hit by a water attack will have its health restored.

While some Pokemon fans have known about Volcanion for a while (thanks to data miners searching through the Pokemon X and Pokemon Y game files), this is the first time Nintendo has officially confirmed the Pokemon’s existence.
