Leap year: Hard to calculate, easy to marry
February 29 – also known as Leap Day.
“The day after we would have the party, the older one used to say “my birthday is actually today mummy” to try have another”. But because 29 is not divisible by four, leap day babies always turn 29 during non-leap years. Well, besides causing leap year babies like Carlson to celebrate their birthday on February 28th or March 1st, the scientific reasoning for an extra day every four years is to help the calendar year stay on track with the solar year.
Not everyone thinks being a leap day baby is all that special. Hahn also knows there are disadvantages to a leap year birthday. February 29 only comes around once every four years in a leap year.
