Lebanon’s Hezbollah leader says Iran will not abandon support after nuclear
Lebanon’s Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed Saturday that Iran’s support for his party would not change following the nuclear deal.
Concerning Iran, Nasrallah said that its nuclear deal with the West does not change Hezbollah’s opposition to the policies of the United States, and that Tehran would continue to support Hezbollah and Damascus. “No, there was no bargaining” between the US and Iran, the leader said during a broadcast speech.
Iran “has ideological relations with its allies that prevail over political interests”, Nasrallah said.
Supreme leader “Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reiterated Iran’s position on the resistance movements and its allies, and Hezbollah occupies a special place among them”, Nasrallah added.
