That streak ended when Toronto beat the Cavs in Games 3 and 4 of the Eastern Conference finals, but the Raptors couldn’t duplicate the feat this time around.

The Raptors were still talking about the play Friday morning, as well as other sideshow moments in the series: a Cleveland-based reporter suggesting to Toronto coach Dwane Casey that his team was “dominated” in Game 1, and James pretending to take a sip from a beer bottle in the opener.

Cleveland used a 12-0 run in the first quarter to stamp their authority on the game, as the Raptors missed seven straight shots and their offensive struggles continued. James hit 15-of-16 free throws.
But as is usually the case, it was LeBron James who delivered the final nails in the Raptors’ coffin. James started the game trailing Jordan by 211 points with 5,776 points.
The Raptors were happy to be home after being routed by a combined 33 points in Games 1 and 2 in Cleveland, buoyed by the fact they were in the same position last season. He ran his career field goal total in the playoffs to 2,047, passing Shaquille O’Neal for the third-most in National Basketball Association postseason history.
Valanciunas contributed 15 points for the Raptors, while Norman Powell added 13 points and Ibaka 12.
The Cavs continued to double-team DeRozan, just as they did in the first two games. They have no answer for James, and the Cavs keep finding different players to help their star glittering even brighter.
The Cavaliers in comparison were red hot from the field in the first period – hitting 12 of 17 from the floor including a flawless 5 of 5 from beyond the arc.
LeBron James is delivering devastation to the Raptors and the Cavaliers is running away with the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Cavs did just that in an area where it counts the most – rebounding, demolishing Toronto on the boards, 49-25.

The game began with some bad news from a Raptors’ perspective when Lowry, who looked to have made a stunningly quick recovery from a Game 2 ankle injury, had his night end in the pre-game warmups when he abruptly left the court and headed back to the locker room.
