LeBron has heartfelt exchange with Craig Sager after win
National Basketball Association fixture Craig Sager has always been known for his incredible suits and lights-out reporting, but because of what he has done during his battle with cancer, he’s going to be forever known and remembered as an absolute inspiration.
After undergoing a bone marrow transplant Sager was again given the news that the cancer had retreated, only for it to recur again in March this year.
The legendary sideline reporter will be on duty for Game 6 of the championship round Thursday night in Cleveland, it was announced today.
Ailing sportscaster Craig Sager has been a fixture on sidelines of National Basketball Association games, but he has never worked on the league’s biggest stage.
In a heartfelt moment, LeBron said: ‘First of all, let me ask you a question.
Sager missed 11 months while undergoing treatment for leukemia and a bone marrow transplant from his son, but would return to the sideline during TNT’s National Basketball Association coverage in March 2015. That don’t make no sense!
“I’d like to thank Turner and ESPN for approaching me with this tremendous opportunity to be part of The Finals broadcast team”, Sager explained in a statement. “Much love and respect”.
According to ESPN, Conner’s mentor and family friend Mike Gallagher was broadcasting the game for a local television station in Erie, Pennsylvania, (where Conner is from) and was chatting with Sager before the game. For more than a decade before that, the series aired on NBC.
Game 7 is set for Sunday night.
Curry did apologize to the fan he hit, and for the outburst at a press conference after the game, but only after his wife also lashed out and accused the National Basketball Association of being rigged.
