LeBron James and Dan Gilbert reportedly aren’t on the same spending page
The Golden State Warriors may be at the top of that list, but they are not the only team.
The new year hasn’t been too kind to the Cavaliers, who tip off a much-needed three-game homestand on Wednesday night with their ninth straight Western Conference foe – the Sacramento Kings.
With six losses in eight games, the Cavs are in a slump they never expected.
As anyone who has ever seen My Super Sweet Sixteen will tell you, LeBron often gets what LeBron wants.
It was all doom and gloom for the most part from LeBron James following Monday’s 124-122 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, the team’s fifth loss in seven games. “We’re taking some shots, we’re being resilient and we’re fighting back at tough times in the game”. “We’re a top-heavy team”. We’re a great team.
“I don’t know what we got to offer”, James said.
If it were only that simple. We need a f*cking playmaker.
THUNDER 114, PELICANS 105: Russell Westbrook had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, passing Larry Bird with his 60th career triple-double, and Oklahoma City won at New Orleans. James has repeatedly and publicly asked management to add another ball-handler, but the Cavs opted to leave the roster spot open for the last three weeks. So no matter who it’s against we’re going to go out and give it our all, ” said LeVert, who grew up in Columbus, Ohio looking up to James. It’s hard enough to get his team to concentrate on improving without having to deal with outside influences. “I’m happy it happened”.
LeBron then mentioned some names. “I don’t bring guys, so that’s not my job”.
Sam Amico of Amico Hoops recently reported that the Cavs have had repeated discussions with the Denver Nuggets about Jameer Nelson and suggests that the 35-year-old is their primary target.
The loss followed a number of events on Wednesday. But the team is cratering right now for other reasons, and the public posturing and politicking can’t be helping matters inside the locker room.
Tristan Thompson isn’t as important as Irving or Love, but he’s not as far behind as you may think, either.
Earlier this month, Coach Lue talked about tapering down some of his starter’s minutes towards the end of January and heading into the All-Star Break.
And, Pluto says James, in his 14th season, has played the sixth most minutes in National Basketball Association history when regular season and playoffs are combined. Anthony would need to waive his no-trade clause in order to get dealt before the league’s February 23 trade deadline.
