LeBron James is ‘concerned’ for Johnny Manziel

Earlier in the week, Manziel was ruled out for Sunday’s season finale due to a concussion.

The Browns need to cut ties with Manziel as soon as possible.

Regardless of whether the Browns decide to buy out Manziel or try to trade him, with a new coaching staff and GM coming in and little support from the team’s owner, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be back with the team next year.

Manziel was confirmed to be at the team’s facility on Monday for season-ending meetings by defensive lineman Danny Shelton and Joel Bitonio, but neither seemed to have discussed the reports with him.

Former coach Mike Pettine said Manziel’s issues are more deep-rooted than the Browns thought when they selected him with the 22nd overall pick in 2014.

The quarterback was not in attendance for Sunday’s game at FirstEnergy Stadium, but he was not required to by the Browns or the league’s concussion protocol.

Owner Jimmy Haslam said Manziel’s future will be decided in the next few months, but his tone Sunday was far different than the full support he had offered in the past.

The reports of Johnny Manziel being in Las Vegas are now weirder.

“I am going to let the guys upstairs do their job”, Bitonio said when asked about Manziel.

“I don’t really know what his background is per se or anything like that”.

“I’m more concerned with him individually”, James said Wednesday morning as the Cavs prepared to play the Washington Wizards later that evening. “I don’t think structure is quite as important as right people in the right place and everybody understanding their roles and working well together”, he said.
