LeEco Max smartphone review: High on specs
LeEco, which was earlier known as LeTV, today announced its entry into the Indian smartphone market with three smartphones – Le 1s, Le Max and Le Max Sapphire.
The Le Max is sold for Rs 32,999 and Rs 36,999 for 64G and 128G respectively, while Le1S’s price is even more attractive at Rs 10,999.
LeTv Le Max, which would be available in two colours – silver and gold – boasts of 4 GB RAM, 6.3-inch 2K screen, 21 megapixel rear camera and a fingerprint sensor, among other specifications.
LeEco Le 1S sports a 5.5 inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) In-Cell Display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is launched in India for Rs. 10,999. The phone has a 21MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, Sony IMX230 sensor, dual-LED flash, and an f/2.0 aperture lens; and a 4-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture is good enough for video calling.
Registrations for the Le 1S starts from today and it will be available from February 2 while Le Max will hit the markets from February 16. At the CES 2016, the company has unveiled the successor for Le Max called Le Max Pro powered by Snapdragon 820 processor. A 3000 mAh battery completes the package. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz along with 3GB of RAM.
It includes an internal storage of 32GB and does not include a microSD card. For selfies, it comes with a 5 Megapixel front camera. The dual-SIM handset measures 151.1 x 74.2 x 7.5 mm and weighs 169 grams. For connectivity the phone supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE. The device also features a fingerprint scanner placed at the back, which the company calls LeTouch.
Both the devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop with customized EUI 5.5 overlaid. It not only gives users the best multimedia experience and gaming experience without any lag or interruption, but also allows a quick charge which means 5 minutes of charging gives 3.5 hours of talk time.
