Hollywood has lost one more legendary actress. Lauren Bacall, the lady who earned the name both from stage and screen is no more with us. On August 12, Lauren left the affection of screen.
She was 89, when she died. The lady who shared screen with Humphrey Bogart, also known as American cultural icon, died in New York.
Love life of Lauren Bacall
Lauren appeared on screen with Humphrey in ‘The Big Sleep’ and ‘To Have and Have Not’ and later tied the knot in 1945. Lauren was born in New York, in the year 1924, and was again married to Jason Robards in 1961, after the death of Humphrey. However, the second relationship did not ended well as they got separated through divorce.
Off-screen and on-screen relation with Bogie
During 1940s, she reached the apex of success when she was chosen for a major role in ‘To Have and Have Not’ (according to the actress in ‘TCM biography’). She acted opposite to ‘Bogie’ (Humphrey Bogart). After that movie, both of them were in love and converted it into marriage. In 1957, after the death of Humphrey she was left with two kids, Stephen and Leslie.

After ending all personal relations, Lauren moved to stage in 1970. There she won a best actress two Tony award. In fact, in 1990s, she appeared for ‘Ready to Wear’ and ‘The Mirror Has Two Faces’, where she was awarded Screen Actors Guild award and a special Oscar nomination.
