LEGO Announces a Ghostbusters Playset Featuring the New Cast

Lego released the first images of its “Ghostbusters” Ecto-1 and Ecto-2 set Friday, including minifigures of all four members of the new Ghostbusters team in director Paul Feig’s reboot of the classic film. But the set shows Kevin, played by Chris Hemsworth, with demonic red eyes, implying that he could get possessed by the mysterious spirit.

Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon will step into the iconic roles as they prepare to kick some paranormal butt around New York City – you can check out official cast images in the gallery above.

Hemsworth (as the new crew’s secretary, Kevin) gets his own minifig in the set, which is a nice addition.

The main piece of kit here is the new take on the Ecto-1, the ambulance-turned-ghostbusting vehicle from the original, which had previously been revealed by Feig on Twitter. It’s getting us all the more excited to see what a new Ghostbusters is going to look like on the big screen.

The Lego set, first showcased by Entertainment Weekly, has Kevin the receptionist suited up and ready to fight.

Ghostbusters will hit theaters July 25. The film outfit also circulated photos of the ghost-busting ladies, completely suited up, as well as close-up individual shots of each female lead.
