LEGO DIMENSIONS Adds SUPERGIRL… and RED LANTERN SUPERGIRL

It has been revealed today that an exclusive bonus minifigure and in-game character – Supergirl – will be included in the LEGO Dimensions Playstation 4 Starter Pack. Her abilities include supers strength, flying, X-ray vision and beam attack. You don’t want to mess with her.

The PlayStation 4 “LEGO Dimensions” Starter Pack will include the game itself, and bricks to build the LEGO Gateway; four characters – Supergirl, Batman, Gandalf, Wyldstyle – along with the LEGO Batmobile and the LEGO Toy Pad.

“It is with superhuman excitement that the team here at TT Games, as well as co-Game Director Jimmy McLoughlin, announce the arrival of Supergirl in Lego Dimensions”. But, this decision will come as a disappointment to those that have amassed their LEGO Dimensions collection on other platforms.

In the trailer below it is suggested, right at the end, that Supergirl is a timed exclusive, so at least the door remains open for current owners to be able to buy her at a later date without having to fork out for a second USB portal. Warner Bros. did say that in the future the character would be available via the in-game figure rental system, allowing players to try her out temporarily to see what they’re missing. Interactive Entertainment. The “LEGO Dimensions” starter pack featuring Supergirl is scheduled to hit stores and online retailers in September.

It is now unclear whether the Supergirl figure will even be playable on other platforms, should Xbox One or Wii U players opt to pick up a PS4 Starter Pack to obtain one.
