Leicester boss assures Vardy he won’t be sacked
Leicester City have “substantially fined” striker Jamie Vardy after he was alleged to have aimed a racial slur at another man.
England global Vardy subsequently apologised for what he called “a regrettable error in judgement”.
Vardy has already issued an apology and Leicester says it has now handed him a “substantial fine and prescribed a program of diversity awareness training”.
The Foxes added Vardy’s fine would be donated to local charities.
Only a couple of months ago the club sacked three of their players, including the then manager’s son James Pearson, after they were involved in making a racist sex tape during a club tour of Thailand.
“It’s important in football the club knows everything and it’s okay, they apologise and we go forward”. The club has said it is okay.
“No, it is not my matter but he won’t be”, the Italian told reporters ahead of Saturday’s trip to West Ham.
Jamie has apologised to everybody, it was a mistake, and there is a good relationship between Shinji and Jamie, and for me everything is closed.

“I think so. If the Tinker Man changes it, maybe no, but if I change it something could happen”, Ranieri said. Every match is different and the manager must choose the best solution for his players, ” said Ranieri.
He was still playing non-league football with Fleetwood as recently as 2012 but made his name following a £1million move to Leicester.
Vardy appeared as a second-half substitute in England’s worldwide friendly against the Republic of Ireland in June and scored in last weekend’s 4-2 win over Sunderland.
