Leicester eyeing back-to-back upsets, says winger Albrighton
Argentine striker Sergio Agüero scored a consolation goal for the Citizens three minutes before full time to put his team on board, but it was not enough to overcome Leicester’s dominance in the match. “It is the biggest surprise in football of the 21st century”.
But it was not until after the Foxes famously beat City 3-1 at the Etihad last weekend that bookmakers made them favourites to win the title, as many believed their bubble would eventually burst.

Of course, Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez might be stealing the headlines, but they have stars in each of their lines and they are starting to rise up to the occasion as the season draws closer to an end.
Did you bet on Leicester to win the league earlier on in the season? “At Leicester it can be done, because the team allows it. This is what makes me proudest”.
Leicester City’s Marc Albrighton celebrates their third goal against Manchester City, February 6, 2016.
“Before the start of the season I was among those who were sceptical of his appointment but he has proved most of the pundits wrong”, the 41-year-old confessed.
“Sceptics have been waiting for Leicester’s bubble to finally burst”.
As for whether Vardy, Mahrez and co will be lured away at the end of the season, that can wait. He maintains that all of the top five teams on the table could win the league’s title, despite Manchester United being 12 points off the top. “You can be a fantastic player but a stupid man and you cannot improve”, Ranieri, in his first season in charge, said.
Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes current Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino needs to consider sacrificing the club’s cup ambitions this season if he is to maximize his hopes of bringing the club its first English league title since 1961. But he said: “I think I talked too much about last week”. “In an era when money counts for everything, I think we give hope to everybody”. It’s just magical what’s happened – but we’re trying not to get ahead of ourselves.
“For me it’s really a dream because I came on at Crystal Palace and we won the game”.
Meanwhile, this time previous year Leicester were at the bottom of the Premier League, but climbed up the table to survive relegation by six points.
Tactically, the rest are making it up as they go along – just as the bookmakers are now doing with their title projections.
