Lena Dunham wants proposal
On Friday, with SCOTUS voting 5-4 to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide, a Dunham-Antonoff wedding became a lot more possible.
Obviously, this Tweet worked, if not with Jack then at least with People, who immediately joined Dunham and her fans in telling Jack to “get on it!”
Well, we’re happy for the pair whether or not they get married tomorrow or in a few years. But now that SCOTUS has lifted the gay marriage ban, Dunham is already teasing Antonoff about getting engaged. Lena Dunham rocked a patterned frock and new “do at her ‘Not That Kind Of Girl” book signing at Waterstones in London. Gurrrrrl…
“Woke up to learn that love is free!” Leck? Jana? Duntonoff? Antham? No?
‘Well, it’s something that… the idea of having a celebration that cannot be fully shared among all the people in my life and all the people that we love just does not really feel like a celebration at all, ’ she said while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The Fun. Guitarist didn’t respond but favorite the tweet. Though some have since gotten married with the repeal of DOMA or during other pivotal moments during the marriage equality fight, a few have yet to say their vows. Several months later, the 31-year-old musician told New York Magazine he met Dunham on a “blind date” of sorts, saying, “I mean, I used the Internet”.
Jack Antonoff didn’t reply to his girlfriend’s comment.
Antonoff has even talked about wanting kids. “Like, I’m in the future”.
So Dunham may be putting a ring on it very soon.
