Microsoft is going to release its new “Microsoft Surface Pro 4” in the coming days, and rumor has it that it will outdo the iPad Pro in the business market.
According to Digitimes reports, the new Surface tablet will feature, “the same ultra-thin form factor, bezel size and large-size display as the predecessor model and will come with Intel’s new Skylake processor and Windows 10”.
The scheduled event on October. 6 is expected to focus on the devices that will be running Windows 10, the same operating system, which the Surface Pro 4 reportedly will run on.
Those who run compute-intensive tasks at work will need the more powerful Surface Pro 3, but the Surface 3 is more capable than a few may realize.
Memory-wise, the website further adds that storage options will be 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
The discounted prices are only available for the United Kingdom, but Microsoft is very likely to announce similar cuts in the rest of the world too, as the company’s preparing for the debut of the new Surface Pro 4. Skylake would also enable users to wake up Surface Pro device by asking Cortana. There’s word that a model with a whopping 1-TB storage is being prepared as well. In fact the firm is rumored to showcase the device with 14-inch display. Well, it’s a full desktop OK and supports desktop applications including AutoCAD, Lightroom or Photoshop, while iOS is a mobile OS and supports only applications that have been created by the developers exclusively for this platform.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4, on the other hand, will come in with an Intel HD 530 that will offer user better graphic quality. Most of the businesses are using Microsoft’s infrastructure, preferring to buy a Surface Pro tablet that runs on a more popular OS, instead of an iPad.
With the iPad Pro the Apple Pencil was introduced but the stylus is not part of the package. The Surface Pro 3 has a Mini Display port, a microSD slot, and a USB 3.0 port, whereas the iPad Pro doesn’t have all of these. Microsoft’s new “laplet” is also rumored to arrive with a number of Windows 10 features, like a 3D facial recognition camera.
