Lenovo K5 Plus delivers entertainment on a tight budget
You’ll only get 16GB of internal storage (which is understandable when marketing a phone for emerging markets) but potential customers will be happy to know that the K5 Plus features a MicroSD card slot, offering up to 32GB of external storage.
That being said, Lenovo is, like many other tech companies, chose to participate in Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. So to kick it off Lenovo introduces the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus and K5 smartphones, priced in at $149 and $129. RAM stands at 2GB.
The Vibe K5 Plus will go on sale in select countries for around $150, which roughly translates to Rs 10,300. Lenovo’s Vibe K5 Plus has a 5-inch wide-view FHD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The 13 megapixel rear camera with a 5-piece lens is especially useful for creating your own digital content, while the 5 megapixel front shooter makes for passable selfies. Both the Handsets offer support for dual-SIM and 4G LTE connectivity and will be available in three color options – Grey, Silver, and Gold colours. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating system out of the box.
Lenovo has pulled the wraps from its latest Vibe K5 series line up at MWC. Coming to the display resolution, it has a 1080p display with 5-inch real estate.
Even though the Vibe K5 is cheaper than the Plus version, there aren’t too many differences between the two smartphones. It comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing snapper to facilitate video calling. These devices are 4G LTE-enabled and support dual-SIM functionality.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus also features a 2750mAh battery, which should provide users with decent battery life, although we’d need to confirm this with tests.
The company has introduced the Lenovo Vibe K5 and K5 Plus smartphones, which belong to their mid-range “Vibe” lineup of devices.
