LeSean McCoy investigated for allegedly assaulting two cops
Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for LeSean McCoy, declined to comment at this time.
McCoy was with former National Football League running back Curtis Brinkley and possibly two other National Football League players at about 2:45 a.m.at the Recess Lounge on 125 South 2nd Street in Old City, reports state. That touched off an altercation, according to the report. Both cops ended up in the hospital.
It was there that McCoy, and a friend, were involved in a physical altercation with the two officers, sources said.
McCoy, now with the Buffalo Bills, and an unidentified friend remain under police investigation, but they have not been arrested, according to the TV report. Brinkley is a Philadelphia native and attended West Catholic High School.
In the ensuing melee, two off-duty officers suffered broken ribs, 6 ABC reports.
McCoy spent five seasons with the Eagles before he was traded to the Bills in March.
