Leslie Jones Hilariously Live Tweets the Olympics, Is Promptly Invited to Attend

Leslie Jones is known as one of the many amusing ladies of Saturday Night Live, but after this week she may just have earned a brand new title somewhere in the realm of 300-Time Gold Medalist Tweeter. Producer Mike Shoemaker caught wind of Jones’ commentary on Twitter and promptly encouraged fellow producer Jim Bell to get the actress out to Brazil to join the rest of the team covering the massive sporting event.

Jones, a comedian and cast member of Saturday Night Live, is quite the fan of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and has been keeping her twitter followers bang up to date on what she is watching.

Based on the exchange, it looks like Jones is going to be connecting with someone from the NBC camp-and while she hasn’t confirmed she’ll be heading to Rio yet, maybe she’ll be made an unofficial local correspondent?

The International Olympic Committee says it has banned animated GIFs of this year’s Games, but it remains to be seen whether Jones’ avalanche of clips recorded on her phone lands her in any trouble.
