Levine: Smith’s performance ‘one of the best things I’ve seen’
As with “Faithfulness”, Smith once again took the top spot from Adele whose “Hello” has dominated the charts since its release in October. Many of them had big performances but the showstopper of the night was pop singer, Jordan Smith. His incredible performance of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” is now No. 1 on the iTunes charts.
After Smith performed the song, one of the celebrity judges in “The Voice”, who also happened to be Smith’s coach, Adam Levine, announced, “I don’t need to say anything at all because that’s one of the best things I’ve ever seen in my entire life”. “He was just talking to us about our next song choices and takes the time to listen through the songs and find the right fit for us”.
This was revealed on Tuesday (Wednesday morning in Manila) after the Top 9 semifinalists of the competition were cut to four.
“That was nice. you’re voice seems like were made of clouds”.
The sole contestant in the mix who did not qualify for a bonus was Team Adam’s Shelby Brown. When it came to an end, he was greeted with what has become the customary standing ovation from all four coaches and seconds left before the show went off the air.
We didn’t think Adele would get overthrown so soon, but we guess people really want to see Jordan Smith win Season 9 of the NBC Reality TV show.
