Lexus to unveil magnetic hoverboard August. 5

The Lexus hoverboard will be released on August 5th, and until then these teaser videos will have to keep to ticking over, because nearly no details have surfaced about the product. The Slide is part of Lexus’s so-called “Amazing in Motion” series, which also includes futuristic light-up suits and drones made with 3-D printers. You never know, it could be just in time for Back to the Future Day in October.

As stated by Lexus, the Slide lifts from the ground using superconductors and magnets, which together work against the force of gravity to create lift.

Tony Hawk is probably the most famous skateboarder of all time while Shaun White is the face of snowboarding, but who will represent the hoverboard? The company’s hoverboard is still mysterious.
