LG Electronics launches the world’s first 4K OLED television in India
LG Electronics (LG) unveiled the company’s latest OLED TV line-up at its MEA regional launch event held this evening at the Madinat Jumeirah resort in Dubai. 5,79,900, and the 55-inch model at Rs.
South Korean electronics giant LG will invest almost United States dollars 8.6 billion globally over the next three years in OLED TV technology, a top official of the company said.
In terms of sound, the 3D television sets have Harmin Kardon sound technology and are powered by webOS smart TV platform.
This unique amalgamation, christened the 4K OLED, offers 33 million color sub-pixels and self-lighting pixels for the most lifelike colors and infinite contrast ratio. The integrated stand is transparent and the rear cover is also free of fasteners and holes. The Voice Recognition feature installed in the remote makes the TV obey your commands.
The 65 inch model is priced at Rs 5.79 lakh, while the 55 inch screen model will cost 3.84 lakh. Besides, there is Universal Control functionality that enables users to control most of their devices connected with the TV directly using the remote control. From 1.5-2 million capacity per year (OLED) LG have added a whooping capacity of 3 million last month.

At present, above 40 inch panels account for about 40-59 per cent of LG’s total TV sales in India. “As part of our ongoing commitment to giving users the best viewing experience possible, we are proud to continue leading the way in the next generation of home entertainment through our OLED TV’s”.
