LG G3 Android Marshmallow Update Coming Next Month

To refresh, for those who aren’t familiar OnePlus has made a name for itself by being among the first high-profile Android OEMs to offer devices with branched versions of Android produced via replacement firmware projects.
It’s a sign that Samsung’s moving closer to its highly anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow roll out for phones and tablets. It’s not clear how early of a build it is.
Both Samsung and T-Mobile haven’t released a statement regarding this incident, which pretty much confirms that this was a mistake and the update hasn’t begun rolling out.
The existence of the update is a very good sign for Note 5 users that their official update is fast approaching – rumoured to be beginning next month.
Android 6.0 also brings minor tweaks for the Phone Dialer app and a handful of new features for the Contacts app. At this point however the leaked list doesn’t include the time frame for the devices.
The carrier’s software upgrade page still says that the update is in “Manufacturer Development”. Updates for these models will be released in February 2016. Users are also asked to backup their device first, by preferably opting for a full-system NANDroid one.
According to reports, Samsung devices such as Galaxy S3, Galaxy E7, Galaxy Note 3 Neo and Galaxy S5 Active have got the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow was launched last month on October 6, 2015 by Google. It does look like Android M is rollout out in South Korea, but it might take two weeks to arrive. Now, ASUS has revealed its plans for devices that they will be updating to the said software version. We’ll keep our eyes and ears to the ground as this develops and keep you informed. OnePlus: Yesterday, OnePlus announced a timeline for when it will roll out Marshmallow updates for its smartphones.
“The OnePlus 2 will also be updated in Q1, and the update will include the new standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor”.
Team Android warned the readers that installing a custom ROM such as the CyanogenMod13 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow update could wipe clean the mobile device.
