LG G5 Chosen as ‘Best Smartphone’ among Those Unveiled at MWC 2016

Apple’s new iPhone won’t be unveiled until next month, but you can already pre-order new Android phones. Needless to say, it’s not unusual, nor unexpected for companies to tout their products as the best and the most attractive on the market.

In terms of processing power, Samsung Galaxy S7 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor on US, Japan and China versions and an octa core Samsung Exynos 8990 processor everywhere else.

In terms of design, the LG G5 doesn’t beat the S7 by much in the thinness department, according to Gizmag. The Samsung Galaxy S4, on the other hand, would mark its third year in the market. Intrigued? Couldn’t care less? The Galaxy S7 Edge has sides that curve making the screen move over the sides of the phone to the back.

While Galaxy Note 5 featured a 5.7-inch display with a pixel density of 515ppi, the upcoming Note 6 will be equipped with a slightly higher 5.8-inch display with around 550ppi.

In order to make them out of a premium metal material, Samsung had to do away with the replaceable battery, and even took away the micro-SD card to expand storage. S7 and S7 Edge also come with 32/64/128 GB of on-board storage, 4 GB of RAM, microSD support up to 2 TB, while being water resistant and dust proof with IP68 certification.

Samsung has confirmed the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, but up until today, it has yet to be made available over-the-air. The top of the display also comes with a slight curve which as stated by Samsung would help increase the comfort factor when the device is held against the ear. AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon are now selling the 128 GB Galaxy S6 Edge for $784 United States dollars, $759 USD and $900 USD, respectively. The fact Samsung ditched them both for the S6, only to bring them back a year later, means it’s hard to get excited about them.

Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge specifications and features: While the Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1 QHD display, the Galaxy S7 Edge features a 5.5-inch dual curved QHD display.

Both the devices come with similar measurements, however, the S7 is tad bit heavier than the S6.
