LG G5 could be unveiled in February; specifications and features leaked
The leak also hints at the possible improvements LG’s next flagship smartphone will be coming with.
With rumours suggesting Samsung is due to release its Galaxy S7 early it looks like LG is going to bring the G5 early in the year too with a February release.
A new rumor has popped up which reveals some of the internals of the alleged LG G5, which is expected to launch sometime in February, as per rumors.
The leak comes from a Weibo tipster named Zealer who posted the specs. For instance, the power button of the LG G4 is located at the back and not to forget, LG is the pioneer in offering replaceable faux leather and patterned back shell. In comparison, the LG G4 was launched in April this year. If this tip is true, it seems that its successor will have no such downgrade.
The LG G5 is expected only next year. The front side will be featuring an 8-megapixel camera.
So far so predictable, but a couple of additional claims stand out. Hopefully LG will implement the dual camera seen on the V10, for those extra special big selfies. This would certainly be an advancement from fingerprint scanning, if LG could pull it off. Rumors are also suggesting that the LG G5 with its metal body will still feature a removable battery and a microSD card slot. Given that the general reception to that particular feature has been lukewarm at best, we’re a little dubious about that last one.
LG has been known for its innovative features in their gadgets and thus with the release of the new smartphone it will not be surprising to see new features that have not been seen in other devices.
