LG G5 will feature always-on display
Is it just me, or is there a leak battle going on between Samsung and LG?
Count this as righting another wrong introduced with the Galaxy S6. A GIF shared by the company on its Twitter and Facebook accounts shows a G5 screen that displays time and some notification icons, with text on the ad saying “Always On”. Plus, the phone on the leaked photo sports a curved display, a less rounded home button and a new wallpaper of the Galaxy S7.
According to the industry follower though, LG’s new always-on feature will be LG’s answer to fans who were speculating about a dual-screen option for the G5.
The LG G5 will feature a secondary display, Ticker display, as seen on the LG V10. The device will have similar battery life with the Galaxy Note 5 and the battery unit will be able to charge from zero percent to eighty percent within 30 minutes of plugging it in. Allegedly, Samsung is also planning a February 21 unveiling of their upcoming flagship lineup, the Galaxy S7.
An example of Force Touch being used to zoom into an image. The Galaxy S7, as shown here, has that same flat front. Qualcomm still has a modem advantage over Samsung own SoCs. We have seen the Galaxy S6 and S6 Marshmallow update release in Poland yesterday, and even Xperia Z5 is getting Marshmallow in Turkey. Aside from that, the two will mostly be identical, with a 5.1-inch QHD screen, a smaller 12 megapixel camera sensor compared to its predecessor, but a significantly larger 3,000 mAh battery.
This week has been interesting for Samsung lovers, with a lot of rumors popping up here and there.
You might be a little disappointed that Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Active are still stuck on the older Android Lollipop operating system. Or do you believe cheaper Galaxy S6 will be a better device?
Screen notifications are certainly not the main focus for users when looking at their next smartphone so lets hope LG has some other big reveals to tempt users to buy the LG G5 smartphone.
