You can choose from either the Navy or Burgundy version of the Wine Smart from LG.
On August 5, LG Electronics (LG) brings global consumers with its newest hybrid smartphone designed especially for a generation of users who are more accustomed to the feel of flip ― also known as folder or clamshell ― phones. Last week, the company unveiled one of their newest devices, which was interestingly a flip phone and going by the LG Gentle title.
LG, maker of mobile phones, televisions and air conditioning units, said on Wednesday that it will sell its latest flip-phone (or “clamshell” design) in Europe this week, following its release in the firm’s native South Korea last month. Under the hood, there is a 1.1GHz quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal storage.
Previous flip phones limited you to making calls and playing Snake, but the LG Wine Smart runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, which means it can download apps from Google Play and comes with all the usual Android features preinstalled. It comes preloaded with LG’s Safety Care feature to enable users with emergency alerts and real-time location tracking options for pre-selected contacts.
“Our goal with LG Wine Smart was to create a smartphone that fans of flip phones could embrace”. Having said that, it does come with a 3.2-inch display and offers a 3 megapixel camera on the rear. “With LG Wine Smart, they won’t have to”. The Wine Smart name is for the worldwide market that includes Japan, Spain, Kazakhstan, Poland, France, and Italy.
Prices and carrier details will be announced locally at the time of launch.
The LG Wine Smart is LG’s latest effort to stay competitive in a fierce smartphone landscape.
