Hemsworth returned the sentiment on his own Facebook page with a photo of the two tall glasses of water smiling at each other, captioned as “Jeff Goldblum, my new Independence Day #BFF”.

The Fourth of July now has even extra meaning for Jeff Goldblum.

The 62-year-old actor shares the news over a Facebook update saying, “We’re so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July”. Independence Day.

He followed that on Independence Day (naturally) with a 12-second video teaser containing the words “We’re fighting for our right to live, to exist“.

Goldblum and Livingston were Wednesday in November 2014 at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

The “Glee” guest star announced during a January appearance of “Late Show” that he and Livingston were expecting a son.

“I like Charlie Goldblum”, Letterman said.

While the name changed slightly, the due date remained the same.
