Liam Payne Admits That One Direction Was Never Zayn Malik’s Style

But One Direction’s Liam Payne has shed more light on Zayn Malik’s shock departure, revealing that one of the reasons he left after five years was because of the band’s music.

“One Direction was never Zayn’s kind of bag if you know what I mean”.

Since Zayn’s departure the four-piece have enjoyed their On The Road Again tour and released a hit single in Drag Me Down, with Liam adding that they’ve all won in the end, “Everyone’s come out fine from it, thanks to our handsome fans. It’s all good”, he added.

Their decision to take a break was revealed earlier this year and although a few believe it heralds the end of the band, Louis Tomlinson insists it’s normal for groups to take a few time out, especially having had such a hectic five years. There’s certain parts of this job that Zayn loved and certain parts of the job that he didn’t.

But while the band is ending, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne are good mates and will be seeing a lot of each other off stage. It’s important. We’ll still see plenty of each other, we’re planning on going on a little lads holiday.

“You’re kind of counting down the shows now, thinking there’s not many left, so you’re really appreciating every moment, not that it’s the end”.

Louis – who’s expecting his first child with LA-based stylist Briana Jungwirth – said: ‘It was one of those things that after every tour we’d have a little sit down, have a little chat, and it was kind of just numerous amounts of conversations like that really.

“I can’t say exactly how long the break will be because we don’t wan to put pressure on ourselves by putting a time limit on it”.
