Liam Payne Reveals Reason Of Zayn Malik Leaving One Direction

One Direction’s “Drag Me Down“, the band’s first track without Zayn Malik, made its television debut on Tuesday morning’s edition of Good Morning America.

“Obviously it’s different … but it’s still going great, and that’s what this album is about”, Liam Payne said.

Not only did the boys perform Story of My Life and Steal My Girl but they busted out their new hit single – the first since Zayn Malik’s departure – Drag Me Down! Though the song was only released a few days ago, it’s already broken multiple iTunes and Spotify records, as Gossip Cop has reported.

Zayn Malik chose to leave the renowned group last March in the middle of their “On the Road Again” tour because he allegedly wants to be a normal lad. “I think that’s just another challenge and another adjustment we’ve had to make”. “Obviously, it’s a very exciting time”, he said, smiling and remaining coy about the upcoming baby news. “Usually we do kind of a big run-up to it, and this time we thought it would be fun to just kind of drop it, and it was fun”.

And while “Drag Me Down” was a major musical highlight of the morning, it wasn’t the only single 1D performed in Central Park.

The campaign is part of action/2015, a global citizens’ movement with the idea that 2015 can be the year the world can set the agenda to end extreme poverty and take on inequality and climate change.
