Liberals will spend your money: Harper
Supporters, staff and journalists crammed into the upstairs loft above an enormous grocery store built in an old CN railway locomotive shop, where the store sells pints of Ontario craft beer and glasses of wine. They have recently endorsed the Fredericton Liberal candidate Matt Decourcey as the most likely to beat the Conservative Keith Ashfield.

This has left Justin Trudeau’s Liberals and Mulcair’s NDP fighting to convince the remaining voters that their party is the real agent of change.
“This election, we can defeat the Harper Conservatives by uniting people in swing ridings where a few thousand votes will be all that’s standing in the way of another Harper majority”.
But a third party seizing power with a jump of 80 to 100 seats or so, as Trudeau is attempting, is uncharted territory. The Liberal pitch came a day after the party launched an open appeal to former Progressive Conservatives to join their fold.
In Quebec, where EKOS saw a three-way tie on Sunday, with the NDP at 27, Liberals at 25 and Conservatives at 24 per cent, by Tuesday EKOS was reporting the Liberals surging to 31 per cent, with the NDP at 30 per cent – and the Conservatives plummeting to 17 per cent. It was Angry Tom at his best, delivering a blistering assault on the Conservatives for giving away highly-paid union auto jobs – and on Justin Trudeau for waffling on the TPP.
The plan has been three years in the making-from the time Trudeau kicked off his leadership run in October 2012.
“You do have a choice – multiple choices”, Trudeau said.
Liberal hopeful Karina Gould argues that people in the riding are progressive, and moderate, and no longer see themselves in Stephen Harper’s Conservative party.
Hammond says Leadnow.ca is not satisfied with the direction the Harper government has taken in regard to the environment, the economy or transparency. So, EI premiums won’t be going “up” by that amount, they just won’t go down as much as under the Conservative promise. “But it did confirm the fact that they’re feeling confident about their momentum”, he tells us.
This 78-day campaign-the longest in Canadian history-has helped the Liberals in other ways, too. But one thing hasn’t: in that year the party was led by someone named Trudeau.
The Liberal leader finishes his day with a rally in Ajax, Ont., in what may be one of the most closely watched ridings of this campaign. Mulcair said Canadians can make a historic choice, reject the Conservative Party and the Liberal Party and “make their own positive choice” by voting NDP.
The Liberals are promising a middle class tax cut to be financed by modestly increasing taxes on the richest 1 percent of Canadians (those earning more than $200,000 per year), and pledging to boost economic growth through an infrastructure program financed by three years of deficit-spending.
“Aside from all of their policies, that is”.
In 2011, Harper’s Conservatives were found to be in contempt of Parliament becoming the only Government of Canada as well as the only one of the entire Commonwealth’s 53 nations to be found in contempt.
Bains’ focused message is that a Liberal government will give working families even more money than the Conservatives, who prefaced the election campaign by mailing bn worth of benefit cheques to Canadian families – with by far the largest share of the payout landing in Tory-held suburbs surrounding Toronto and other Canadian cities. It’s a section of the riding that narrowly voted in his favour in 2011. Oliphant explains the tax increase wouldn’t apply to her, but she remains anxious.
