Lions hunger to keep winning
Vikings Territory has the keys for a Minnesota win over Green Bay. The chance to take a commanding two-game lead in the NFC North and kick more dirt in the face of the four-time defending division champs rarely comes around.
Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packer are in disarray after losing three consecutive games, while the Minnesota Vikings are climbing strong.
The Packers have lost their last three games – falling to two undefeated teams on the road prior to the matchup vs. the Lions. Green Bay’s slide has allowed Minnesota to take over the top spot in the NFC North. The Vikings have a 7-2 mark. Mike Zimmer has installed his tough method of defense and has former NFL MVP Adrian Peterson hitting on all cylinders. Peterson and the Vikings began the season 2-2, but since that. That team is the Jacksonville Jaguars, who recently signed an agreement stating that they would play one home game a year in London through the 2020 National Football League season.
There haven’t been many star running backs that have struggled quite as badly as Lacy has in recent history.
At the very least, Peterson is the league’s leading rusher, averaging 106.8 yards per game.
Fourteen players were listed on the Packers injury report, including Rodgers and all of the starting offensive linemen except for center Corey Linsley.
Still, Rodgers’ health is just the latest worrisome issue for the Packers’ sluggish offense. In a 16 game season, and a division lead on the line, I don’t really think that should happen, but that’s just me.
Detroit started the season 0-5 before finally winning, beating the Chicago Bears in overtime.
Green Bay has been absolutely pitiful the last few weeks. But, we also need to keep in mind that Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers and at any period in time he can go off on any defense. Bridgewater may need to reach beyond his comfort zone against Green Bay, but his penchant for limiting mistakes should serve him well come Sunday. Starks proceeded to carry the ball 15 times for 42 yards and had six receptions for 54 yards last week against the Lions.
Rodgers’ placement on the injury report is his first of the season, but it didn’t stop him from throwing during the walk-through portion of practice open to the media, which he wouldn’t be doing if his injury were serious. Seven out of the Viking nine games have gone under the total, including all four at home (Courtesy: Predict Em).
