Listen to Disclosure’s New Pop-Influenced Single ‘Magnets’ featuring Lorde

Disclosure’s new album “Caracal“, which features “Omen” as the lead single, is set for release later this week and there’s certainly no stopping the boys now as their schedules are filling up with performances, tours and appearances. A major one takes the form of their collaboration with Lorde, “Magnets“, a serene slice of midtempo bliss that contrasts somewhat with the other tracks they’ve already revealed from their sophomore effort.

This is Lorde’s first new song since she wrote “Yellow Flicker Beat” for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 soundtrack. She’s now working on the follow-up to her mighty debut Pure Heroine and by the sounds of it, it’s coming along really nicely.

I mean, sure, MTV has expanded to high-quality reality TV, like Ex On The Beach and Teen Mom 2, but it is still the original Music Television channel, so a bit of fact checking could have gone a long way.

No word on when it will be released yet, but the Disclosure collaboration is pretty damn spectacular so that should tide us over for the moment. “Magnets” premiered with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 and can be heard below. Despite the fairly obvious message, Disclosure didn’t official announce Lorde’s involvement until sharing Caracal’s tracklist in late July.
