Little boy only wants to be a princess for Halloween this year
One dad is making headlines as he fully supports his young son’s decision to dress as Elsa for Halloween this year.
Caiden said he wanted to be someone he respected and admired – he chose Elsa from Frozen. He wants to be Elsa.
The comments are overwhelmingly supportive of Henson and his A+ parenting, but I’m willing to bet Caiden would’ve gotten all those likes and shares regardless.
Henson argued that people should keep their opinions to themselves and more parents should honor their children’s heroes.
When the two went shopping for the ensemble, Henson took a photo of Caiden in full Frozen glory, then posted it to Facebook with an inspirational message. “Just so happens, this week his is a princess”, Henson wrote at the end of his post.
Whoever said kids can’t be whatever the heck they want to be on Halloween was missing a vital page from dad Paul Henson’s book.
“It’s important for children to know that their parents will stand by them no matter what”, Henson told the Huffington Post.
“I want other parents to realise that gender stereotypes are taught and learned behaviours”.
Hanson wrote on Facebook, “Anyone that knows us, knows we generally let Caiden make his own choices, to an extent”.
