Live action Star Wars Battlefront trailer channels the spirit of Kenobi
The relatively new phenomenon of live-action trailers for games is a little unusual, but we’re not complaining about this one.
The disappearances continue to escalate until it climaxes with Anna Kendrick who, mid making a sandwich, retorts the famous last words of Obi Wan Kenobi and all vanishes.
Star Wars Battlefront will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 17.
This Star Wars Battlefront trailer carries the spirit of that moment in a weird way, implying that men, women, children and even celebrities vanishing in an instant from their everyday lives.
The trailer is a neat comment on the Star Wars universe, a fictional place many real people have felt teleported to through films, movies, and toys for decades. I mean, yeah, if you were coming back as Han Solo, Luke, Leia, Bobba Fett or Darth Vader, that would be cool.
Well, DICE’s new game Star Wars Battlefront finally cuts the superfluous crap and gets straight to the Empire-defining action. Star Wars Battlefront doesn’t feature a huge single player campaign that requires tons of art assets and CG cutscenes, so the regular filesize indicates that the maps will be highly detailed.
