Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho ruled out of France squad through knee injury

Jurgen Klopp has said the exodus at Anfield that followed Crystal Palace’s 82nd minute victor left him feeling “alone”.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has urged his players to focus for the full 90 minutes after suffering his first defeat since taking over from Brendan Rodgers.

“If after the game you are satisfied with 60 minutes, sometimes it’s enough, sometimes it’s not”.

“We have to learn that we decide how strong, tired, awake we are”.

Emre Can played 65 minutes during his sides 2-1 defeat against Palace.

“We decide when it is over”.

“We have gone in to all of them now on the back of a victory, so I’m very happy, very happy”, he said.

“But we are responsible that nobody can leave the stadium a minute before the last whistle because everything can happen”.

“But after the break, we gave them chances to cause us problems”.

As expected, Reds midfielder James Milner, who missed the game against Palace with a hamstring injury, has withdrawn from the England squad for the friendlies against Spain and France.

Sunday’s defeat to Crystal Palace was something of a surprise given that they’d previously only lost twice in the entire season and were on a 12-game unbeaten run in all competitions, especially when Liverpool’s form was combined with Palace’s own recent struggles. “It was not necessary to lose this game”, said Klopp, according to ESPN.

It got even worse for the Reds when Mamadou Sakho landed awkwardly on his ankle, prompting Klopp into a forced substitution, which saw Dejan Lovren come on in place of the Frenchman.

“As I said, I thought the team did well today and we created chances, it’s just frustrating not getting the goals”.

“I’m just the same as everyone else at the club or Kopite who wants to see us back at the top and bringing the Premier League back to Liverpool”.
