Liverpool Make Official Bid For Roma Keeper Alisson
Liverpool Twitter was an absolute riot on Wednesday as it emerged via multiple highly reliable news outlets and journalists that the Reds had agree on a fee with Roma for the transfer of Alisson.
Alisson is a man in demand, with Chelsea determined to beat Liverpool to the signing of the Roma goalkeeper, according to the Daily Mirror.
Alisson was one of the leading lights for his side last season but the sum was too great for Roma to turn down. What the boys did in those last two months was exceptional’. “When I entered my teens, I wasn’t even the best goalkeeper in the family”, he told the Players’ Tribune. Los Blancos had been set to sign David De Gea in the summer of 2015 before the infamous “fax machine” incident scuppered the move.
“I think as much as Jurgen would have wanted to be loyal and do right by the goalkeeper, he’s got to go out and get another one”, Souness said recently. Alisson could sort Liverpool’s issues and would bolster Reds’ XI comprehensively. Loris Karius seemed to be finally filling that void in the second half of the 2017-18 season.

In terms of Alisson, Liverpool have emerged as favourites at 2/5 with Chelsea at 11/4. They are preparing to offload Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid for £31M along with a significant transfer of Eden Hazard.
Roma sporting director Monchi has said the club allowed goalkeeper Alisson to speak to Liverpool after receiving “a significant offer”, with the player undergoing a medical on Merseyside.
A deal has reportedly been agreed between the two clubs, but Chelsea want to wait till they sign his replacement before they let him go.
