Liverpool recall loan star for ‘disciplinary matter’ as Balotelli and Markovic
Liverpool have recalled Lawrence Vigouroux from his loan spell at Swindon Town after the 21-year-old turned up late for training and paid the subsequent £50 fine in pennies, according to reports.
Vigouroux incurred the Robins’ wrath last week after turning up to training late and was fined £50 for the incident.
Liverpool visited the club in their final pre-season fixture in the summer and it was a match which saw Vigouroux play for the home team – despite no confirmation over a switch – which resulted in him then joining Cooper’s men.
“It’s a disciplinary internal matter”, he said.
“It’s come from me and the rest of the players”.
Now BBC Wiltshire are reporting that he has returned to his parent club.
Cooper also says his side need to increase their work rate if they are to end their bad run of form.
Vigouroux was put on the bench for last Saturday’s defeat by Colchester and was replaced by Ty Belford who, as their only senior keeper, is likely to start against Doncaster on Tuesday.
Though there is no official confirmation from either club about the cancellation of the player’s loan, Brendan Rodgers may well look to send Vigouroux out on another loan, but surely not before giving him a stern talk about his behaviour.
