Liverpool’s Sakho pulls out of France squad
I would have preferred to lose 4-1 than lose an important member of my team.
It’s too bad that he couldn’t play on, but we have to wait for the scan tomorrow evening, because it needs a little bit of time.
“I am realistic, we were only threatening sometimes but it’s quite a good start”, said Garde, who replaced Tim Sherwood. A minute before the final whistle, anything can happen and that is what we have to show the fans.
“I am satisfied with a few moments but the problem I have is we have to play 95 minutes and if you are satisfied with 60 minutes after the game sometimes it is enough, sometimes not”. That is the problem. “We decide when it is over. We have to learn from this”.

“It’s disappointing, everybody’s angry”.
But despite the defeat Klopp is still enjoying a honeymoon period and there were further signs that his squad are continuing to get to grips with his methods.
“It’s a new manager, new system, we’re just trying to build and keep the confidence in the team”. “What you’re really asking is, are we going to take a player to the tournament who’s virtually not played any football, but because he’s a talented player might just become, in a few miraculous way, capable of playing football?”
It was a first defeat at Liverpool for Klopp, who is awaiting scans on Mamadou Sakho’s knee injury to discover the extent of the damage, and the manager was disappointed with his side’s slow start and then lacklustre finish.
Saint Etienne defender Loic Perrin has replaced Sakho in the French squad for the upcoming friendlies with Germany and England, the latter of which preents the likes of Nathaniel Clyne, James Milner and Adam Lallana from facing their club teammate at worldwide level.
