He said ten cargo ships of LNG have arrived in Pakistan, and this number will reach to thirty in a year. He said that those who are leveling allegations should provide facts as well, reported Dunya News.

He said LNG contract with UAE had not been signed.

He categorically declared that they followed rules and any institution including the National Accountability Bureau could receive the record for investigation. “We have demand from the industry and housing societies for LNG consumption”.

Addressing a press conference, he said the past governments had made efforts to import LNG but they failed, adding that the credit goes to the present government, which made it possible in 20 months after coming to power.

Declaring LNG as the best option to plug gas shortage, he said oil mafia in the country is against availability of cheap electricity to the people. Rigid contracts and prices linked to those of crude oil have been seen as obstacles to steady development of the LNG market.

HE al-Sada touched on the bilateral relations between Qatar and Japan in the field of energy supply and LNG in particular, stressing that despite the volatility in global energy markets, the State of Qatar will remain a stable and reliable supplier of energy to Japan that can be relied upon in all circumstances.

According to the first contract of LNG, there will be savings of two million dollars.

“We have initiated transmission line projects at a cost of $1.5 billion for transporting gas”, he said, adding a swap arrangement between Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company would end next month after the upgrading of pipelines.
