Local Make-a-Wish recipient meets hero, WWE’s John Cena
KJ Lamar is a huge wrestling fan and the Make-a-Wish Foundation granted his wish to meet his favorite wrestlers in person.
WWE star John Cena has already granted 400 wishes through the Make-A-Wish program, and it seems like he has no intention of stopping.
“He’s my only child”, said KJ’s mother. He plays a clip featuring Cena, who tells KJ he will meet him and be his special guest for WWE RAW in the front row. Watching him go through the process of surgeries and dialysis, it’s very hard.
KJ takes medicine daily so his body won’t reject the transplant, but he’s not a fan of having to take his medications.
Cena shared the story of his mother, Carol raising him and his brothers, who definitely did not make her life easy. I have zero experience in that field and truly I’m learning as I go and never once did they make me feel out of place or as if I was holding up production or anything like that.
Cena told Donnelly today’s WWE is a far cry from what it was during its “Attitude Era” more than a decade ago when meaner wrestlers and sex were the selling point. We made a conscious effort to clean up.
“It would be the best day of my life ever”, he said. Chris Connelly will host the series, per the official Make-A-Wish Foundation website.
