Logan star Hugh Jackman wants Shah Rukh Khan to play Wolverine

According to new reports compiled by Deadline, the film could open domestically somewhere between $65-70 million.

From their previous collaboration on the phenomenally successful “The Wolverine” in 2003 that won praise for its careful parsing of Logan’s inner tumult rather than the over-the-top action, Jackman and Mangold once again team up to give the audience the most unforgettable journey with Wolverine in “Logan”. “I’m very aware that I’m literally inside someone else’s home”, he said. So, it is obvious he would be elated on knowing Hugh Jackman thinks he is flawless for Logan.

Maybe like last year’s Deadpool, another much lauded and more unconventional comic book movie, Logan can exceed box-office expectations. Whereas the camera normally cuts away after Wolverine’s blades have schwinged out of his fists, here we’re treated to blood-splurting, heads quite literally rolling, and pretty impressive sound design to augment the gory experience.

More generally, it’s also worth remembering that the post-credits scene is more closely associated with Marvel Studios’ films than the X-Men series (which despite being a creation of the same Marvel comics universe is owned by 20 Century Fox). It will also reportedly be the final time Patrick Stewart will play Professor X. Vague references to an earlier catastrophe, as well as Laura’s laboratory origins and a mythical paradise where all may find salvation linger at the film’s periphery. She is pursued by sinister figures working for a powerful corporation; this is because her DNA contains the secret that connects her to Logan. While several Peter Parkers have come and gone, there’s Jackman, whose commitment to the role spawned 8 films and one cameo in a film of the same franchise. They are aging, ailing and struggling to survive financially. “It’s the first time in 17 years where I haven’t known there was something on the horizon, and creatively, that’s probably a good thing”. There are times when the pacing wobbles, but the comedic and dramatic timing is top notch, the performances strong and the feel of this being an ending percolates through the entire film.
