M’Vila now plays his football with Rubin Kazan in Russian Federation, but a fall-out between him and the club means he spent last season on loan with Internazionale and was supposed to be joining Dynamo Moscow on a temporary basis for the coming campaign.

The France global made a surprise £10m move to Rubin from Ligue 1 side Rennes two-and-a-half years ago after being linked with a host of top European clubs.

It was the second successive relegation for the Holland star, 25, who moved to QPR for £8million last summer after going down with Norwich.

According to The Shields Gazette, Fer will arrive from QPR on a season-long loan, but there is no deal in place for the move to be made permanent.
