Longmont weather: High of 62 today with more strong winds
The strongest winds are forecast for late Tuesday afternoon and evening.
KINGSTON, N.Y. A potentially hazardous mix of precipitation is headed for the Eastern Seaboard and a winter weather advisory is in effect for Eastern New York from 1 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday, with freezing rain, sleet and snow forecast.
Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high near 32.
Tuesday night skies will be partly cloudy as temperatures reach a low of about 34.
According to the national weather service, the forecast calls for a slight chance of snow before 11 a.m. with areas of patchy fog before that time as well. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
Day: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 20s.
Highs will remain in the 30s for much of the week until Friday, when a warm front could push temperatures close to 50 degrees.
With a clipper moving in from the west, we’ll have some snow showers on Wednesday. The overnight low is expected to be near 37. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent.
Saturday: A chance of rain and snow showers. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 50. West southwest winds with sustained speeds up to 30 miles per hour will increase to about 40 miles per hour in the morning.
Sunday should be partly sunny, with a high near 46. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31.
