Look after the Wyoming wilderness in Firewatch on February 9

Firewatch is a Playstation 4 exclusive and will be with us in February.

One of the games I’m most excited to play, Firewatch, has finally been given a release date.

The game looks very interesting and now the developer, Campp Santo, has announced a release date. Firewatch will be hitting the PC, Mac, Linux and the PS4 on February 9, 2016. “At the same time!”

“We founded Campo Santo in October of 2013 and began working on Firewatch in January of 2014. Our goal is a worldwide simultaneous release!” “If you’re in San Francisco, another opportunity for you to get your hands on the game (running on PS4 hardware!)”.

For the unfamiliar, Firewatch is a mystery game which has the Wyoming wilderness as its background.

Players take the role of fire lookout, Henry in the Wyoming wilderness tasked to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. An especially hot, dry summer has everyone on edge. A woman named Delilah, available for you on the radio, is your only contact with the world you’ve left behind.
