Los Angeles Lakers, Kobe Bryant Keep Sinking to New Depths
His pending retirement sparked rumors of him playing for another team, such as the NY Knicks, or overseas in China, but the five-time National Basketball Association champ reiterated he will be a “Laker for life”.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant is known as much for his uncompromising approach to basketball as he is for his legendary skills on the court.
No extra vacationing in Miami, where the Lakers play Tuesday, the Associated Press reports.
“You hear about the guy being down, struggling with his shot and going through all of those other things”, Wade said.
Kobe Bryant’s sore back deprived the hoops world of his 20th head-to-head matchup with Dwyane Wade Tuesday night, but according to Wade, injuries can’t do anything to tarnish Bryant’s legacy.
“I would like to play”, Bryant said. “I try not to do anything different”. “No. But I get up and I do it anyway”.
That’s what he wants the opponents he’s visiting to do.
“It would mean the world to me to be around those guys”, Bryant said.
But Bryant has always been more than just a player who does what he’s told.
Bryant is in his 20 season with the Los Angeles team, and with his contract set to run out at the end of the current season, he has intimated that he will not seek an extension. But don’t let the friendly ways fool you. “I feel the same way where I sit now, is that it’s about the competition that shows the greatest sign of respect”.
Blast from the past, Sporting News pointed out that Bryant had averaged 12.1 points per game when he played for the Team U.S. in 2012 London Olympics.
It’s a week of homecomings, going home and revisiting a home that wasn’t.
Oklahoma City opened the season with three consecutive victories, then lost the next three by a combined 16 points. The Wizards are considered top suitors.
The young Laker brigade will take time to find consistency and bring the effort needed on a nightly basis. The Clippers already routed the Mavs in Los Angeles.

MILE HIGH FOR TY: The Nuggets finally moved on from Ty Lawson and his troubles when they traded him to Houston over the summer, and he returns to Denver on Friday with a Rockets team that seems to be getting used to having him in the backcourt with James Harden.
