Louis Blues’ Robby Fabbri bests Edmonton Oilers’ Connor McDavid in teens

Two generational talents, Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel, are entering the league this season.

According to Oilers coach Todd McLellan, bumping up against a few of the best defencemen in the world is just part of the process for McDavid. McLellan told reporters he thought the offense was “limited” and that he was still trying to find the right combinations. Until now. While it still remains to proven how well Edmonton will do with McDavid in the lineup he is certainly a talented player and one that is drawing comparisons to Sidney Crosby who single handily turned the Pittsburgh Penguins franchise around. His speed, ability with the puck, and potential playing with great passer Lehtera Jaden Schwartz will allow him to skate freely and rack up the points. Good intentions. The plays weren’t always flawless but the intentions were there. “And of course, with the addition of Connor McDavid, there’s this real connection now to a younger set of players”.

Edmonton Oilers rookie Connor McDavid made his highly anticipated debut in St. Louis against the Blues on Thursday night.
