Louis Theme Park Renames Roller Coaster After Cubs Defeat Cardinals

Known for its family-friendly thrills by day and zombie-filled fright by night, the world’s largest theme park transforms for seven Fright Fest weekends from late September through early November.

The American Thunder roller coaster at Six Flags St. Louis is now renamed Cubs Thunder for the duration of Fright Fest. Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illinois, has made another bet on the Cubs, this time with Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson Township, New Jersey.

And now if they want to getaway from it all with a trip to Six Flags St. Louis, they will be reminded of this season’s loss to the Cubs.

Great America will also receive some St. Louis food favorites, including pork steaks and toasted ravioli. So, when the Chicago Cubs took out the St. Louis Cardinals in four games during their National League Division Series, the theme park from Missouri had to make good on their bet.
