Louis Tomlinson arrested & given $20000 bail
Jail records show Tomlinson was arrested under a “citizen arrest”.
The former One Direction singer was only released by the authorities after paying $20,000 for the bail bond. The site reports that the incident happened at the LAX baggage claim. But even before Louis and his friend left the airport, the police caught up with them.
Louis was released from custody just a few hours after the arrest, at 1:32 a.m. early Saturday.
In a statement to celebrity website TMZ, Tomlinson’s lawyer Martin Singer said that “the paparazzi provoked and caused the altercation”.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the incident occurred at Los Angeles International Airport after Tomlinson and his girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, were “surrounded by paparazzi”.
A source also spoke out to HollywoodLife defending Louis for only doing what any decent boyfriend would do if they saw their girlfriend being attacked by two women.
Those girls were attacking Eleanor and Louis rushed in and pushed them away.
According to The Sun, the young woman who was allegedly involved in a physical fight with Eleanor has since spoken out, saying: “The guy socked me”.
“He’s obviously, I imagine, feeling very raw, feeling very protective of his girlfriend, and these terrible fans – if that’s what they want to call themselves – they were just behaving reprehensibly, that can’t happen”.
Eleanor had reportedly, asked the woman to stop filming the incident who did not pay heed and got into an argument instead.
Recalling the incident she said: “I know it’s a very long time since I’ve been in that situation but I had one time many years ago towards the end of my time with the Spice Girls and I was pursued in a auto”.
