Louisa Johnson wins X Factor 2015
Seventeen-year-old singing sensation Louisa Johnson was crowned X Factor champion after beating reggae/rap duo Reggie’n’Bollie in an emotionally charged final.
“Thank you to Simon for this awesome experience, me as a judge and her as the victor of the show”, Rita continued.
“I’ve imagined this day for so many years, really, you have no idea how much this means to me”.
While the boys in the backroom were counting all the votes, out came Adele to sing her hit single “Hello”, the fastest selling download ever.
Her powerful rendition of James Brown’s It’s A Man’s World brought the house down.
Well, it certainly looks like Louisa is in with a strong chance of bagging the top spot…because she’s already at number one!
They both thanked mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and said their highlight of the series was just making it through to the first live show. “You are not human!”
“We’re just family men trying to change our lives”, they said, as they were joined onstage by their children.
“Leona was like the reason I wanted to go on the show, so it’s just incredible”. “To win it, I can’t get over it”, she concluded. But in the end there was no mistaking Louisa Johnson’s singing prowess, as she enthralled audiences with her powerful vocals and a talent that defies her years.
The singer’s “X Factor UK” mentor also congratulated the singer and all the fans who supported Johnson.
Of Reggie “N” Bollie, Simon Cowell had this to say: “Yesterday you were good… tonight was a whole new level”. “It was wonderful, it made me nervous for everybody”, he said.
Manageress Pat Anderson was filmed taking a delivery of the Farnborough News & Mail bearing the headline “Vote Reggie “n” Bollie”.
“I loved Reggie N Bollie’s performance”.
“Meeting Nick [Grimshaw] has been a massive highlight for me, we’re going to remain friends after this, because he’s an unbelievable guy”.
