Louisiana toddler left alone on beach while parents went jogging naked

A one-year-old girl was left alone on a beach in Cameron Parish, La., while her parents jogged in the nude nearby on Tuesday morning, KPLC-TV reported.

Johnson said drug abuse is suspected.

Authorities in Louisiana say the parents of a young girl who was discovered on a beach were later found naked and jogging.

Cody and Monique Bourgeois were arrested after police received a report of a 20-month-old child alone on Holly Beach in Louisiana. Responding officers told KPLC they found the 20-month girl within two miles of a Ford Explorer, which had been running. Cody and Monique Bourgeois were arrested, and child protective services was called in to investigate.

The infant has been released into the custody of her maternal grandmother. Her parents, meanwhile, weren’t found until hours later, jogging naked down the beach. She was sunburnt and covered in mosquito stings.
